Natalie is a retired educator who lives in Northumberland Hills country. She paints from her studio in Brighton with a breath-taking view of Lake Ontario and Presqu’ile Provincial Park out her window and her beloved dogs at her feet. Her oils bring to life a great variety of subjects. Pastoral and city scenes from around the world and right in her own backyard have all inspired her canvases. Her floral painting is her passion, not surprising when you know she is an avid gardener. Natalie loves to paint large canvases and her large flower paintings are her favourites. She comes from an artistic family, both her father and grandfather were accomplished artists. She not only paints but has also been a keen collector and has a great affection for the impressionists. She has studied with Joanne Purdy and Lucy Manley. She is a regular contributor to charitable fundraisers and has donated paintings to the Quinte Arts Council through Artevino, to the Canadian Cancer Society, and to other cultural and arts events. She also has supported Northumberland Hospice in their annual fundraisers and fashion show. Her paintings have also been featured in several shows including “Islands in the Sun,” “Expressions” and at “Twist.” She serves on the board of the Quinte Arts Council. Private viewing of her studio and her works can be arranged.
